Dear Resident of Prospect Heights Fire District #1,
This year in 2009, the
Prospect Heights Volunteer Fire Company #1 is 100 years old! We
are very excited about reaching this milestone of supporting Ewing
Township’s residents and businesses for 100 years. Please check out our
website at www.phvfc.org for
information and updates on 100th Anniversary activities throughout the
year.
We now are beginning our
2009 Annual Fund Drive and your fire company counts on your financial
support!
If at all possible,
please think about increasing your tax-deductible donation this year.
For over 10 years, we’ve been asking our neighbors to contribute
fourteen cents a day or $50 per year. Donations above and beyond the $50
will help to fill a few budget gaps that we anticipate this year.
Ewing Township is
different as compared to most other municipalities in Mercer County as
we do not have taxing authority for fire services. We continue to rely
heavily on the volunteers as first responders. Though we do get
financial assistance from the Ewing Township municipal budget, we cannot
meet our annual budget needs without the tax-deductible contributions
you make each year. Because of your support, we continue to provide you
with professional emergency services in your time of need without a
direct fire tax!
Your donation goes
towards the expenses incurred in the day-to-day operations of the
Prospect Heights Volunteer Fire Company. We will continue to keep our
expenses to a minimum but understand that we are affected just as you
are by increasing costs in today’s economic climate. We need your
support!

You can also support the
fire company by coming out to our weekly Friday night bingo with prizes
of over $1,000 and our annual Ham Dinner which will be on Sunday,
November 8, 2009 .
