Dear Resident of Prospect Heights Fire District #1,
The
Prospect Heights Volunteer Fire Company #1 is beginning its 2011 Annual
Fund Drive and your fire company counts on your financial support!
Local news accounts of
fire department funding in a neighboring Mercer County town have hit the
papers recently with questions focusing on the rising fire taxes in that
town including the costs of personnel and facilities. The
situation in Ewing is different as we do not have taxing authority for
fire services and we continue to rely heavily on the volunteers as first
responders. Though we do get financial assistance from the Ewing
Township municipal budget, we can not meet our annual budget needs
without the tax-deductible contributions you make each year.
Because of your support, we continue to provide you with professional
emergency services in your time of need without a direct fire tax!
Your donation goes
towards the expenses incurred in the day-to-day operations of the
Prospect Heights Volunteer Fire Company. We will continue to keep
our expenses to a minimum but understand that we are affected just as
you are by increasing costs in today's economic climate. We need
your support.
If at all possible,
please think about increasing your tax-deductible donation this year.
For over 10 years, we’ve been asking our neighbors to contribute
fourteen cents a day or $50 per year. Donations above and beyond the $50
will help to fill a few budget gaps that we anticipate this year.

For your convenience, you can now make your annual donation online! Go
to our firehouse website at
www.phvfc.org
and click on the DONATE ONLINE button. (You can do it from this page as
well!)
While online, check out
what's going on at Station 31 with our firematic activities, Santa's
Ride, Ham Dinner, and more! You can also support the fire company
by coming out to our weekly Friday night bingo with prizes of over
$1,000. Of course, our doors are always open should you like to
visit so that we may answer any questions that you may have.
Please don’t hesitate to
contact the chief or president should you have any questions or would
like more information!
Yours in fire safety,
The Members of the Prospect Heights
Volunteer Fire Company #1
